The First Descendant is the latest release from Nexon Games, a South Korean developer known for games like MapleStory and The Finals. It is a free-to-play third-person action RPG, with mechanics similar to games like Destiny 2 and Anthem. The game takes place on the continent of Ingris and involves an alien invasion of Earth.
In the game, players take on the role of one of the Descendants, soldiers tasked with protecting humanity from the alien invaders. They possess a genetic component called “Arche”, which gives them powerful abilities to face the enemies. Missions can be played individually or in online cooperative mode.
The gameplay of The First Descendant combines RPG elements with tactical group shooting. Players can choose from 19 different Descendants, each with their own abilities, weapons, and unique styles. As they progress in the game, new characters can be unlocked and enhanced with weapons and equipment.
