The post has already received over 3.5 million likes on Instagram and was enough to mobilize Brazilians to help Vincent surpass Tyler James Williams in terms of followers on the platform. Tyler also starred in the show as Chris and has made it clear in interviews that he is bothered by the attention from Brazilian fans on his social media accounts.
The sitcom Everybody Hates Chris aired in the United States from 2005 to 2009, but it became a hit in Brazil years later. Since then, Brazilians have flooded Tyler James Williams’ social media accounts and commented on some of the show’s memorable lines, such as “Hey, little guy who lives right over there” and “She’s so into you, man,” as a way to show their affection for the character.
